چکیده
In this paper, we define indicators, with a focus on the electricity sector, that translate results of energy systems modelling to quantitative entities can facilitate assessments transitions required meet stringent climate targets. Such which are often overlooked in model scenario presentations, be applied make more accessible and useful for managing transition policy level, as well internal evaluations results. We propose set 13 indicators related to: 1) resource material usages modelled system designs; 2) rates from current future systems; 3) security To illustrate its value, proposed is scenarios derived an investment Northern Europe. show facilitating discussions, raising new questions, relating Sustainable Development Goals thus better processes. The presented here should not seen complete set, but rather examples. Therefore, paper represents starting point call other modellers expand refine list indicators.

Sustainability Indicators for Energy Systems to Enhance Decision Making Processes
1. Abstract The energy sector plays a key role within the concept of Sustainable Development. However, there is consensus that today’s energy system is not sustainable. A transformation towards more efficient structures as well as a shift to renewable sources is needed. To get on the right track, sustainability aspects should be addressed within the scope of technology assessments. This applies...

A Qualitative Evaluation Approach for Energy System Modelling Software—Case Study Results for the Open Energy Modelling Framework (Oemof)
The research field of energy system analysis is dealing with increasingly complex energy systems and their respective challenges. Moreover, the requirement for open science has become a focal point of public interest. Both drivers have triggered the development of a broad range of (open) energy models and frameworks in recent years. However, there are hardly any approaches on how to evaluate th...

This book gathers contributions from members of the UK Energy Research Centre, in the context of a collaborative research project. It addresses the challenge of determining how the United Kingdom might meet its objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 80 per cent by 2050. This target was included in the UK’s 2008 Climate Change Act. Yet, significant changes are required in the UK energ...
